I absolutely love Charlotte Gainsbourg although to be completely honest with you the only films I’ve seen with her in them are The Science of Sleep and I’m Not There. But she was amazing in both. You know, I think that I may look up every film she’s ever been in… and then get them all out.

I had never really looked into Bat for Lashes until tonight. I think it was the name that threw me off. But after finally seeing a photo of Natasha Khan I decided that someone with such an eccentric style either has really good music, or really terrible music. It turned out to be really good.

Syd Barrett, you were a diamond.
It was only the other day that I realised how amazing Syd Barrett was. I had liked his music for a while but never saw it in the light I saw that day. Lying face down on a mattress, just soaking up his sound. It was beautiful. My friend commented that he had never heard anything so trippy, haha.

You know, I love Panic at the Disco and have been a fan ever since hearing a demo of ‘I Write Sins…” on Purevolume back in 2005. But one thing I just can’t get over are the fans. Of course, I have met some wonderful fans who are nice and smart and funny but the majority just seem to be complete and utter fangirls (on the rare occasion; fanboys) who have a tendency to roll around in their own stupidity. One question that I seem to stumble upon a lot when browsing sites and forums centered around the band is “Does Brendon Urie do drugs?” THE ANSWER IS YES. For gods sake, he couldn’t make it any more obvious. But this isnt what bothers me, what bothers me are the fans reactions when someone says he does. They seem to think it’s just about the worst thing ever that Brendon Urie, their little angel, god forbid, would ever touch drugs in his life! Oh, that godawful marijuana, the devils weed… his life will be destroyed! This just shows the idiocy as well as naivete that these fans harness. Come on, it’s just weed. Tobacco is worse. But you wouldn’t be all up in arms if he were smoking cigarettes would you? Well, it’s possible they would be, but not to this extent.
Now, although he constantly makes allusions to marijuana I figure the whole band indulges in hallucingens as well. Their stage shows are complete with a screen in the background of things merging into each other. Their were mushrooms too, as far as I could recall. And Ryan Ross told Rolling Stone magazine that he couldn’t reveal whether or not he preferred LSD or mushrooms just in case there were cops reading the article. Which most definitely hints that he does them.
Now as for Brendons question: Sativa or Indica? My answer is Indica ;)

Time to start updating this thing again. And what better way to start but with a photo of The Beatles faces slapped on the side of a car?
